Good News

Witchford Scout Group (Beavers / Cubs / Scouts) will be continuing into 2012.

Waitrose (Ely) has a green disc collection for Witchford Scout Group for January 2012

 

VERY IMPORTANT

The future of the Witchford Scout Group from both County & District level is that unless the group has a fully functioning Executive together with Leaders / Assistants / Helpers in all section then the group will be closed at the end of term (December 2011).

Minimum requirements for group are:

A Strong Exec committee:

New Chair, Secretary.
3 parent reps from each Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
Lay members from the community (not necessarily with children in the group)

New leaders. (Minimum needed)

A Group Scout leader
3 new beaver leaders (or 2 leaders and 1 sectional assistant).
2 new cub leaders (or 1 leader and 1 sectional assistant).
A new scout leader and a new scout sectional assistant.

 

Welcome to the Witchford Scout Group This site gives links to Scouting across the Ely & District Area. he Group has a Beaver Colony, Cub Pack & Scout Troop with youngsters (both boys and girls) attending from Witchford and surrounding villages such as Coveney, Lt Downham, Wentworth and Witcham.

All Beavers, Cubs & Scouts in Witchford Group get the chance to learn new skills, make new friends and take part in a wide variety of activities through the fun and adventure of Scouting.  Adults get chance to join in, once they join the Leaders team.

Due to the large number of youngsters wanting to join the Scouting adventure, the Group has a waiting list for spaces and is keen to hear from adults who may be willing to join its Leaders team.
